Sarina first picked up a pair of drumsticks at the age of 12 and was drawn towards the drums in an environment where there were very few female drummers, with an aspiration to follow in the footsteps of her idols; John Bonham, Samantha Moloney, Vinny Appice, Cozy Powell, Sandy West, Nicko McBrain, Ian Paice, and Gavin Harrison amongst others. She’s also an endorsed artist for Pellwood Drumsticks and Amedia Cymbals.
Opting to seek a career in music, Sarina went on to develop her technique and knowledge further at The Academy of Music and Sound, achieving a BTEC National Diploma in 2009. She also discovered a love for teaching, which lead her to complete The Music Educator Programme at Access to Music Bristol in 2010, achieving a Distinction and a Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS), and also embarked on a Foundation Degree in Music Performance, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree in Performance Industries in 2010 - 2013 at the Academy of Music and Sound, achieving a 2:2 in both qualifications.
